As with track material, we knew there had been countless advances in technology since the first alpine slide sled was designed thirty years ago. Yet the original sled, still in use at all alpine slides, has remained virtually unchanged. Until now.

Enter our new AUGIE SLED. Whether used on traditional tracks or our new fiberglass tracks, the Augie is light years ahead of its predecessor in performance, stability, and rider enjoyment. The Augie is a total upgrade in sled design. With four wheels and our Speed Restrictor (patent pending), we’ve addressed many of the problems of current sled functionality.

The added rear wheels help eliminate instability associated with “fishtailing.” Plus, riders can pull the sled for easy off-track carting instead of carrying, or worse, dragging it, as often happens.

The sporty yellow Augie sled chassis is molded from TPO plastic, the same material used in automobile bumpers. It’s stronger, lighter and incredibly durable. All of these features make the Augie sled unlike any currently available sled. It changes, should we say, re-invents, one of North America’s most popular recreation attractions!
